AI Policy

Overview

Quartz Ripple uses AI tools to support parts of its creative work and the Story Forge product. This policy explains where AI is used, what it is used for, and the limits clients and users should understand. It applies to the Story Forge tool and to commissioned creative work.

Where AI is used in Story Forge

• Exploring your story: generating draft themes, tone-of-voice options, example phrases and motif ideas based on what you enter.
• Product ideas: suggesting book, colouring book, deck or card game concepts with working titles, formats and commercial rationale.
• Research assistance: helping gather market evidence and distribution suggestions where a research connection is configured.
• Brief drafting: assembling the above into an editable creative brief.

Where AI is used in commissioned work

• Background research and market references (verified before being included in deliverables).
• Copy drafts, headings and structural outlines that Quartz Ripple then edits and refines.
• Concept exploration such as alternative framings, naming options and layout structure.

Where AI is not relied on

• Quartz Ripple does not use AI to fabricate history, testimonials, customer results or credentials.
• Quartz Ripple does not use AI as a substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, medical or otherwise).
• Deliverables are reviewed and edited by a human before being provided. AI is a tool in the process, not the author of your work.

Accuracy and responsibility

AI output can be inaccurate, generic or incomplete. Story Forge users review, edit and decide what to use. Quartz Ripple reviews AI-assisted deliverables for accuracy and fit before providing them, but clients remain responsible for confirming facts, claims and rights relevant to their business.

Story Forge and Quartz Ripple do not promise any particular outcome from AI content, and AI does not replace professional advice, your own judgement or your expertise.

Your content and AI

Content you enter into Story Forge is used to generate results for you and is not used to advertise to you. You should not enter personal information about other people (including your customers) or confidential third-party information into AI features.

If you commission work and prefer Quartz Ripple not to use AI in any part of your project, say so in your enquiry; this can be agreed in your written proposal, and may affect price or scope.

Providers and data

AI features in Story Forge run through Quartz Ripple's AI service gateway, which routes requests to AI providers. Providers process the information needed to answer a request. Retention and training practices depend on the provider used for a given request; contact catherine@quartzripple.com if you need current details.
